M and I made it to the park around 7pm. the place was packed. We waited on line for 45 minuets to ride the rollar coaster Night Hawk. We’ll have to come back later this week to ride some of the other stuff especially the Intimidator. Lucky we have season passes! After our ride we were ready for a snack. I wanted a funnel cake and M informed me that the best way he likes funnel cake is with marinara sauce. Iwas like what the hell!!! Who eats funnel cake with marinara sauce? Anyway funnel cake was out since they only serve it the "normal" way with powdered sugar and or strawberries chocolate syrup and whipcream. So then we decided to get ice cream. I like softserve chocolate with chocolate sprinkles but ALL because I wanted chocolate sprinkles they didin’t offer that so I ended up getting a scoop of chocolate in a waffle cone. M got the same and off we went back to the car to get ready for the fireworks show at 10 pm. Yes the show was fantastic! This is the 3rd year I’ve gone to the 4th of July fireworks show and this was by far rthe best yet! There was lots of colors and different types of effects. My favorite was the pink sparklers.
I told M it’s funny people will wait paitently in hot humid weather to get on a 1 minuet ride but let it be the line at the grocery store or trying to get out this parking lot and there is no patience whatsoever. While we were in the car waiting to get out of the parking lot there was a couple making out in their car, I told M thats what we should be doing
. They were going at it pretty intense and M said Dude should chill or else he won’t have anything left for when they get home. We cracked ourselves up LOL!
We finally made it out of there at 12 midnight. When we got back to the house we lit the Tiki torches in the backyard, cracked open a bottle of Pino, put on some smoothe tunes, sat back, relaxed and talked till the wee hours of the morning. It was a very romantic end to a wonderful evening with M!
Not counting our own fireworks!![]()
Fun on the 4th of July
The fireworks
at Carowinds was great. a old couple walked passed us twice in the parking. They were looking for their car for the last 20min. N and I decided to just keep the car parked, and listen to music while the parking lot became a nightmare. People sitting and getting in their cars with the belief they will find a way out. Instead they sit in line with the car running for an hour no joke an hour. The fireworks was really good.
