Pizza Anyone?

So this morning M and I were sitting on the couch browsing through some of the cook books I have been putting together over the years and we came across the pizza section. Which reminded me of one of our first cooking experiences together. We were in Trader Joes trying to decide what to cook for dinner one night and we came across some garlic and rosemary frociatta bread and decided it would make a great pizza for two. Then we went on to grab some pizza sauce, spinach, muschrooms, onion, olives and three cheeses which I think they were asiago, mozzerella and cheddar.
We didn’t want the bread to get soggy so we sliced the bread in half and brushed olive oil onto it and placed it in the oven to toast. Once the bread came out the oven we put the sauce, the cheese, then the toppings and into the 400 degree oven it went.
15 minuets later we were eating our first culinary creation together. The pizza turned out delicious but we decided to tweak the recipet just a little bit. Next time we won’t toast the bread and we’ll put the cheese first then add the toppings.
The second go round with the pizza was even better than the first. The tweaks really improved the texture of the bread/crust and the toppings were nice and hot mixed into the cheese.
It’s too bad we got distracted when we were heating up the leftover slices. they were burned pretty badly! mmmm, Ready to go into the oven!
